Entry into New Zealand wasn’t difficult but requires a few steps. Here's what you need to have:
A valid passport with at least 3 months from your departure date.
A NZeta Visa which can be obtained on-line. You can complete a digital NZTD at www.TravellerDeclaration.govt.nz or by downloading the NZTD app. And it’s free.
Your travel ticket has to show that you are planning to leave New Zealand with a valid return flight.
Then comes the biosecurity rules. We have already discussed the NO outside foods to enter and the full plane bio spray. In addition, you must also declare any items that have been used for outdoor activity such as tents, hiking boots, poles, camping gear, etc. Customs will check if they are clean and free of dirt, seeds and leaves. In other words, clean your shoes and gear thoroughly before traveling in.
